Company Title
HunterLab Opalescence
Physical Standards for Visual Evaluation of Opalesence and Instrument Correlation to EP Opalescence Standards. Opalescence is a type of dichroism seen in highly dispersed systems with little opacity. The material appears yellowish-red in transmitted light and blue in the scatter light perpendicular to the transmitted light. The phenomenon is named after the appearance of opals.
HunterLab Hunter L, a, b Versus CIE 1976 L*a*b* (CIELAB)
HunterLab Tech Note: Hunter L, a, b Versus CIE 1976 L*a*b* (CIELAB) Which color scale should you use? Both are color scales based on the Opponent-Colors Theory which assumes that the receptors in the human eye perceive color as the following pairs of Opposites: Light-dark, Red-green and Yellow-blue.
HunterLab How to Color Measure Translucent Materials.
HunterLab Tech Note: Translucent materials offer a significant color measurement challenge since they interact with light in far less controlled manner than most other materials.
HunterLab Color versus Appearance by HunterLab
How do you choose the most appropriate Color Measurement instrument? Understand the difference between measuring color and measuring appearance plus which geometry is best.
LECO Corp. Crude Fat in Meats—AOAC PVM 3:2000
This application note obtains typical results for fat in meats using AOAC method 960.39 and LECO's TFE2000.
LECO Corp. Eval of PDMS-Based Extraction Techniques and GC-TOFMS for Analysis of Off-Flavor Chemicals in Beer
The goal of this work is to develop a solventless analytical method for studying off-flavor development in beer that is quantitative, relatively simple to perform, and capable of extracting a wide array of potentially significant flavor compounds from beer at low ppb levels.
LECO Corp. Screening of Flavor Volatiles in Exhaled Breath Utilizing PDMS Foam Tubes, Thermal Desorption and GC
The samples analyzed were a cream cheese base and the same base with approximately twice as much flavoring agent added. A fruit drink sample was also analyzed.
LECO Corp. Comparison of Two Lemon Oils by GC-TOFMS
The purpose of this study was to compare cold-pressed lemon oils from two different geographical sources, Argentina and California.
LECO Corp. Determination of Mercury in Animal Tissue
Method and typical results for the determination of mercury in Animal Tissue. Also adaptable to fresh meat.
LECO Corp. Moisture and Ash Determination in Flour
Method and typical results for moisture/ash determination in flour using LECO's TGA701.
Northwest Analytical Inc. Food Safety Application Note
Waters Corp. Application of ACQUITY TQD for the Analysis of Mycotoxins
This application note demonstrates the proficiency of the ACQUITY TQ detector (TQD) for the analysis of various mycotoxins using multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) experiments. Pistachio, almond, and cashew nut matrices were used for this analysis. The contaminants that cause serious harm to human health, such as aflatoxins, ochratoxin A, and trichothecenes, can be quantified using this method.
Waters Corp. Application of ACQUITY TQD for the Analysis of Chloramphenicol
Chloramphenicol, which can cause serious harm to human health, is used by beekeepers to control American Foulbrood Disease within hives. Japanese Positive List and U.S. FDA both state that chloramphenicol should not be present in honey and have banned it from food in both countries. With Waters ACQUITY TQD, chloramphenicol can be quantified in honey matrix at levels below the EU legislation limits.
Waters Corp. A Rapid and Sensitive Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Melamine and Cyanuric Acid
A Rapid and Sensitive Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Melamine and Cyanuric Acid in Infant Formulas, Adult Nutritional Products, and Protein Powders.
